Mumbai meri jaan

My city is STILL under seige. After 8+ odd hours.

An iconic symbol, all through my growing up years – The Taj hotel is burning and its awful, sitting here glued to the TV, feeling so helpless, angry and shell-shocked.  Oberoi ? VT Station  ? VT station ?  Cinema theatres ? WTF ? Organised mayhem on an unprecedented scale.

A neighbour from Bombay has not come home as yet. Used to work in the Taj – and my entire colony is rooting for her to be safe and sound, me included.

Photos of one of new young faces of terror shown on TV – my first thoughts were he looks like a school boy.  What motivates these boys who should be in college ?

The cops did not stand a decent chance at all, armed with a teeny-weeny pistol as compared to the sophisticated AK-47s and other ammunition which the terrorists have. Yet there were so many brave, brave policemen as well as our armed forces – men who stormed the hotel without thinking about the consequences, thank you.

Media is finally being kept out of the locations where the siege is still on. And somebody please please get that annoying annoying Advani off the TV screen.

Enough. STOP IT ALREADY.
